Muscada is my 15-year-old Russian-Arabian horse. I’ve had him since he was six months old.

Two years and seven months ago he came down with the third stage of laminitis, which was very bad … the bone was protruding through the bottom of his foot. When the vets looked at him, they said immediately that he should be put down because he was in extreme pain. I asked if there was anything I could do and they said that we could try, but it’s going to take tremendous dedication. They put special shoes on him and I had to wrap his ankles in nitroglycerin every night for six months.

A few days after he got sick, my wife, Patty, met Mindi Preston, a Tahitian Noni Juice distributor. Mindi had heard that Muscada had been euthanized and when she offered her condolences, my wife told her that we were still hoping for some miracle to occur, and did not put him down after all. Mindi said she had something that might really help him and when my wife told me about it, I said, “Get it right away….I’ll try anything.”

From that time on, the minute the juice arrived, I gave him six ounces a day. I did that for two years, and every time the vets came out, they said, “We can’t believe it. That bone is really recessing very nicely.” Now, like I said, it’s been two years and seven months. Two weeks ago I got the word from the vet that Muscada is in perfect health and has grown a new hoof. I can ride him again.

That’s my story. I still give him maintenance noni of two ounces twice per day, and I will do that for the rest of his life.
